Sharyn Weinfurtner, HR Director, Employer Services Corporation

Sharyn serves as Employer Services Corporation’s** (ESC) HR director and in her role leads and manages a team of HR professionals. She joined ESC as a HR business partner in 2004 and subsequently was promoted to the HR manager position prior to her current role. Sharyn supports ESC’s clients in assisting them with their HR needs, best practice recommendations, developing talent and becoming an Employer of Choice.

Sharyn’s expertise lies within HR strategic planning, training and development, employee’s relations, mediation, and creating a culture of outstanding customer service. In addition, Sharyn is one of ESC’s compliance officers allowing ESC to assist their customers with staying current and compliant with state and federal regulations as well as an approved Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Coordinator by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).

Sharyn’s background includes 25 years of human resources experience as both a generalist and a manager. This includes 15 years with ESC, 5 years with Jensen Fittings/Swagelok Corporation where she handled all human resources functions including recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and payroll and 5 years at New Buffalo Shirt Factory, a silk-screen printer for Pro-Player, Disney, Rolling Stones, Brooks & Dunn, Tim McGraw and Garth Brooks, where she served as the HR manager.

Sharyn is PHR (HRCI) and SHRM-CP certified by the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) as well as a member of both the local BNHRA and SHRM since 1994. Sharyn possesses an MS in HR Management, a BS in Social Work and most recently became a Certified Six Sigma Green Belt in 2018. Sharyn is also a graduate of Dale Carnegie of Western New York and served as a graduate assistant for its programs.

Bucket List Item: I have been to France, Switzerland, Italy, Austria, Germany, Holland, Canada, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic. I would love to visit Israel, Australia, England, Greece, Pacific Islands and attend the Kentucky Derby.
