BNHRA Programming
How we engage the community.
Members and future members are welcome at all BNHRA events. We are always open to  feedback, whether it's improving existing programming or adding in new options.
Monthly Meetings

Held once a month and announced well in advance so you can plan. We create programming that helps you evolve in your role, and most sessions carry SHRM and HRCI recertification credits.

Monthly, mornings and afternoons
Educational Workshops

Longer than an hour, these sessions focus on specific HR skills and development. We work to secure PHR and SPHR recertification credit through HRCI for every workshop we run.

Legal Updates

Three times a year, our law firm partners — Hodgson Russ LLP and Phillips Lytle LLP — present current employment law developments in plain terms. Spring, Summer, and Fall. These are the events Enhanced members attend free.

Networking Events

This is where we really shine as the City of Good Neighbors. HR professionals in an interesting space to get to know one another and have fun. Some of our favorites have been Buffalo bus tours, a Japanese Gardens walk, or grabbing a drink at the pub and waiting for winter to blow over. These events exist to build relationships and community.

Recertification
Attending BNHRA events counts toward your credential.

Most BNHRA programs are pre-approved for SHRM professional development credits (PDCs) and HRCI recertification credit hours (RCHs). If you're maintaining your PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP, your event attendance is working double duty.

Credit eligibility is listed on each event registration. Questions about recertification go to our Certification Director, whose helps members navigate the credential maintenance process.

Speaking Opportunities
Know something HR professionals would want to learn?

BNHRA brings in speakers who can give our members practical insight into where the HR profession is going and how to operate better right now. That includes practitioners, attorneys, consultants, and subject matter experts across every HR specialty.

Our Professional Development Committee plans the calendar well in advance. Member survey input and Board recommendations shape what gets booked. If you have a topic or know someone who would be a strong fit, reach out: we would love to hear it.
