Ashley Leisck, PHR, MBA, CSSGB Corporate Human Resources Generalist, Upstate Niagara Cooperative, Inc.
Ashley Leisck is the newest member of the BNHRA Board of Directors as the Director of Certification. Her enthusiasm for all things HR and passion for continued learning makes her the perfect candidate for this role. She plans to bring HR certification within the BNHRA to the next level during her term by engaging our membership on navigating HR certifications. So, expect to be seeing more of her in the coming months!
Ashley’s thoughts on certification don’t just include memorizing some information to pass a test. She believes that the process of deciding to get certified, which certification to obtain, how to study, when to take it and what to expect after are all topics to consider before you invest your energy into the process. She is looking forward to sharing her experiences with the BNHRA to support the successful certification and advancement of our members.
Ashley is currently the Corporate Human Resources Generalist for a locally based dairy cooperative called Upstate Niagara Cooperative, Inc. You may be familiar with some of their products such as Bison chip dip and Intense Milk. Her unique background includes a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from SUNY Buffalo (2012), Masters in Business Administration with a focus in HR development from Canisius College (2016), a Six Sigma Green Belt project management certification from the UB Center for Industrial Effectiveness (2016), and a Professional in HR certification (PHR) from HRCI (2018). Her employment background spans various industries such as energy, hospitality and sports, and food manufacturing including both union and non-union populations.
Ashley dedicates her spare time to volunteering with a local no-kill, all-volunteer animal shelter called Second Chance Sheltering Network of WNY. She has taken on a leadership role within the group which includes the management of new community partnerships, managing social media presence and marketing, as well as organizing fundraisers.
