Andrea Todaro, President of Innovative Placements
Dependable recruiter with a mission to help local businesses thrive.
Employment Consultant Andrea Todaro is President of Innovative Placements, a local company that helps individuals with disabilities secure and maintain employment. She is considered to be one of Western New York’s most successful job developers. With over twenty years of professional job placement experience, Ms. Todaro has demonstrated a unique talent for matching her clients to the hiring requirements of the many area employers and human resource professionals she has served.
To date, over 3,000 clients and employers representing a wide range of occupations and industries have benefited from her expertise.
A member of BNHRA since 2005, Ms. Todaro has served on the BNHRA board in several director roles including Workforce Readiness, Diversity and Inclusion, and Membership. She is a member of The Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) and has a Master’s Certificate in Human Resources from Villanova University. In addition to being a long-standing member of BNHRA, she has served on several committees for the Buffalo Niagara Partnership, and on the board for the Buffalo Opera Foundation since 2006. Also, throughout the last ten years, she has planned and coordinated many health-n-wellness, diversity and inclusion and workforce readiness events in the local community such as the bi-annual “Diversity Career Fair” at The Buffalo & Erie Downtown Public Library, “The Niagara Homecoming Career & Resource Expo/Awards Luncheon” at The Niagara Conference Center and several employment workshops at Ashker’s Juice Bar & Café.
In her spare time, (surprisingly, she has spare time), Ms. Todaro enjoys singing in concerts and operas throughout WNY. In addition to performing on various local stages for over 20 years, she traveled to Italy in 2016 and 2018 to sing lead roles in the operas Gianni Schicchi and Don Giovanni, and feels like she left her heart in Italy. She also travelled to NYC and Orlando to perform lead and supporting opera roles such as The Novice/Lay Sister in Suor Angelica and the Dew Fairy In Hansel-n-Gretel. Yet, HR remains her primary focus and career as well as serving the Western New York community. She is extremely grateful to BNHRA for providing her with a vehicle for supporting her passion to learn and grow in the HR profession and can’t wait to see what’s around the next corner!
Andrea has received The HR Diversity Excellence Award from BNHRA, The Women Touching the World Award for Women’s History Month from Possibilities for Overcoming Poverty (UPOP), the Making a Difference Award for The Women Making History Gala for Utopia Euphoria Inc. and The Rising Business Star Award from the Niagara Rises Organization.
