    Certification Scholarship

    Program Overview and Eligibility

    The BNHRA, in conjunction with the Canisius Center for Professional Development (CPD), will award one active BNHRA Member a scholarship towards the current seminar fees at the time of enrollment, toward either the cost of the PHR/SPHR (Fall 2016) or SHRM CP/SHRM SCP (Spring 2017) certification prep program. Applicants must be working in some facet of HR.

    This scholarship is a onetime award and must be redeemed as outlined or it will be null and void. Once you are registered for the course, you must complete the course in its entirety or you will be responsible for repaying the full value of the course at the current seminar fees at the time of enrollment.

    Deadline to apply:

    July 1, 2016

    Eligibility:

    All BNHRA members that are active at the time of the application submission deadline are eligible to apply.

    Selection Criteria:

    The scholarship recipient will be selected based on the following criteria:
    • 40% Work experience/progression (HR involvement)
    • 40% Volunteer work to advance HR profession
    • 20% Financial need
